Alexandra V.Cárdenes
Alexandra (Gran Canaria, 1987) began her musical studies at the age of 9 at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Canarias.
From 2008 to 2012 she studied harpsichord at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón where she specialized in early music with professors Silvia Márquez, Saskia Roures and Anna Margules. She finished her studies in May 2012 and decided to go to Holland to improve and deepen her knowledge of historical interpretation. In the city of The Hague she continues her studies at The Royal Conservatory in The Hague with professors Fabio Bonizzoni and Patrick Ayrton and also immerses herself in the world of the contemporary music, studying for two years at the Amsterdam Conservatory with Goska Isphording. Her passion for performing is joined with her love for teaching. In September 2016 she started a master's degree in Music Education according to the Kodály Concept at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, which ends in August 2018. During her master's degree she researched the importance of expression in music education exploring the Kodály concept and the Kokas pedagogy, her research is called "The Battle of Expression". She also contributed to ERASMUS development of the Kodály Hub in cooperation with the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, the Liszt Academy of Budapest, and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She has been a harpsichord teacher at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and has given piano lessons at the Liduana Bassischool in The Hague. Currently she teaches music and piano in private classes and she wors at El Sonajero Musical. She has attended several musical teaching courses related to the Kodály concept as the muziek als vak held at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, and at the Kodály seminar in Kecskemét (Hungary). In 2018 she co-founded El Sonajero Musical where she teaches since then. This academy specialises in music education for early years with applied knowledge of music and movement through the understanding of the Kodály concept. |
Celia Torres
Celia Torres (Barcelona, 1986) began her musical studies at the age 6 at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Badalona. She started playing the cello at age 7 with Ana Moreira.
In 2004, Celia coursed the bachelor of classical and contemporary cello at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) in Barcelona. At the same time, he studied two years of introduction to jazz improvisation at the School of Modern Music of Badalona (EMMB). Years later, in 2011, she expanded her studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague with Michel Strauss and Jan-Ype Nota, where she currently resides. She combined music performing studies with the Minor in Music Education and attended music education courses such as Music Mind Games (The Hague), Muziek als vak (The Hague) and the Kodály seminar in Kecskemét (Hungary). She is currently studying the Master of Music Education according to the Kodály Concept, at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. She has worked in several music schools in Barcelona as a main teacher (L'Orquestra de Granollers, Escola Esclat, Escola Artmúsic) and as a substitute teacher in several schools and conservatories in Catalonia. Celia has worked in The Hague as a cello teacher in The Residents, an educational musical project of the symphony orchestra of The Hague Residentie Orkest; she has led the rehearsals of the cello section of the Leiden student orchestra, Collegium Musicum. She is currently cello teacher at Vivaldi Music Lessons (The Hague) and at the European School of The Hague. |
